Destiny's Design and Fulfillment

Behind the Scenes: Success Embedded Human DNA

We were created to be successful. It was hard-wired into the blueprint of talents and abilities, we have been born with. Each of us are uniquely gifted with a specific set abilities, for enabling us to achieve greatness. The key to realizing that greatness, is to be aware of our abilities and how they can be used to accomplish our goals and passions in life. We have the exact tools we need to fulfill our appointed destiny.

Father's Day Tribute To My Dad

To the man who influenced me more than any other, besides the Savior!

My father is a humble man, who came from humble beginnings. He was born seventh of eleven children (eight of which survived), son of Joseph and Francis Mallek, Polish/American dairy farmers in central Wisconsin. Life wasn't easy, scratching out a living, working hard, but enjoying the fruits of labor, to the fullest. My father purchased the farm from my grandfather in the late fifties and that was the culture we were raised in.

Father and Founder of the Republic

AMONG the multitude who in different lands and times have won fame in varying degrees, a few stand out so distinct, so far above the rest, that they mark the eras of the world's progress. By them we measure our growth; by them we test our advance or decline. We no longer judge them, but rather judge ourselves by them, by the extent to which we can appreciate and understand them. An age in which they are honored is glorious; a generation by which they are not esteemed is contemptible. Among the few thus truly great is WASHINGTON.

ADD Hacker Mentality

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is a condition that plagues many in our society and has a variety of symptoms, well beyond the scope of this article. The main ADD symptom, to which I can relate, is the inability of staying focused while attending to daily, mundane tasks. For example, I can be easily distracted, tend to bounce from one activity to another, or take on way more than I can handle. Many times this is accompanied by the tendency to become completely absorbed in tasks that are stimulating and rewarding.

The Gospel (Good News) In A Nutshell

The reason we're having this conversation, is because the God who loves and cares deeply for you, arranged this meeting before the time of creation. After forming this planet and populating it with every life-form imaginable, he placed within it a man and a woman as caretakers. He instructed them to be fruitful and multiply, but inserted a single note of caution: "refrain from eating the fruit of a tree in the middle of a certain garden." The footnote added to this cautionary warning was, "on the day you eat of this said fruit, you shall die."

The Plan of the Ages Unveiled

The sense of anticipation, among the members of the guardian guild, was extremely intense. They were gathering to attend this important meeting called by the grand high council. In the recollection of the attendees, there never was a time when such urgency was associated with an event. There was a frenzy of speculation, circulating among the guild members, concerning the intent of this gathering. As everyone in attendance would soon discover, the reason for this meeting was beyond the wildest theory anyone had yet contrived.

Love Never Fails

The Lord continues to amaze us as we recognize His hand in daily events in our lives and those around us. "Every time we pray, something happens." These are the words of Jim Moore, the director of the Salem House of Prayer. As we begin to approach our prayer life from this perspective, we'll attach more significant value to our times of prayer. We understand our God as the faithful Father, so we know time spent in His presence is never wasted. If we realized every time we pray, something happens, what would that do to our level of expectation.

The Disease That Will Destroy Your Destiny!

I want to share what the Lord has shown me concerning the "Disease That Will Destroy Your Destiny." That fatal disease is known as "Procrastination." I'll never forget the words of Mike Murdock, who said, "you'll never advance in the kingdom of God beyond your last act of disobedience." Procrastination is a form of disobedience and defines the difference between forgetful "hearers" and "doers" of the Word of God. This very blog post represents a milestone in my life, because I'm a professional procrastinator.

Fallen Comrade

A Momentary Lapse In Judgment Can Cause Lasting Consequences

I couldn't help but reflect upon the events that recently transpired, which brought me to this point. The honor guard had just finished folding the flag that was draped over the coffin of my CO. The flag was handed to me and I presented this triangular-shaped banner to the spouse of my fallen commanding officer. The flood of emotions that came over me at that moment were absolutely unbearable.

Just Like in the Days of Noah

"Tell me once again, grandfather, about your father and how he walked with God." Young Noah loved to hear the stories of the old times from his grandfather Methuselah. He was eager to know every detail and his grandfather could paint an extremely vivid picture. Besides, the old man loved to revel in the young lad's desire for the knowledge that he was more than willing to share. Most of the youth, these days, didn't seem to care about times past. They were preoccupied with the present and how much enjoyment they could get out of life.
